Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, with support from the Department of Women Affairs, successfully organized an Income-Generating Training & Rice Distribution Program for the VGD (Vulnerable Group Development) beneficiaries at Kumari Union Parishad.

The program aimed to equip rural women with skills that would help increase their income and support sustainable livelihoods. Alongside the training, rice was distributed to the participants, ensuring short-term food security while they pursue long-term economic empowerment.

Through this initiative, the beneficiaries received:

  • Practical training focused on income-generating activities

  • Essential food support (rice distribution)

  • Motivation to become more self-reliant and contribute to their families’ well-being

The event saw active participation from the local community and reflects a growing collaboration between the government and NGOs like Subah to uplift underprivileged women in rural Bangladesh.
