πΎ Livelihood Training & Rice Distribution for VWB Beneficiaries
On June 12, 2024, a special event was held at Baradi Union Parishad in Alamdanga Upazila, organized by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha with the support of the Department of Women Affairs, under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs. The program focused on the VWB (Vulnerable Women Benefit) initiative, targeting vulnerable women from the community.
The event featured income-generating training sessions to enhance practical skills among women, aiming to help them become financially self-reliant. Alongside the training, essential rice supplies were distributed, ensuring both short-term support and long-term capacity building.
π§ Empowering Through Skill & Support
The program offered a dual approach:
- Immediate relief through food aid (rice distribution), and
- Sustainable livelihood development via hands-on training.
Participants were engaged in sessions designed to build practical skills relevant to their local environment and economic opportunities. The goal was to boost confidence, independence, and financial literacy among women who are part of the VWB program.
