Distribution of Educational Materials to 18,000 Beneficiaries under Basic Literacy Project in Gangni Upazila

With the support of the Bureau of Non-Formal Education under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, and implemented by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, the Basic Literacy Project (64 District Program) has been successfully conducted in Gangni Upazila of Meherpur District.

Key Activities of the Project:

 

✅ Establishment of 300 learning centers
✅ 600 teachers (in two shifts) delivering instruction
✅ Literacy achieved by a total of 18,000 learners

📌 Male learners: 9,000
📌 Female learners: 9,000

Project Objectives:

 

📌 Provide basic reading, writing, and numeracy skills to illiterate individuals
📌 Equip learners with essential knowledge for daily life and financial literacy
📌 Increase literacy rates among both men and women

 

 

Implementation Process:

 

📌 Engaging local teachers for community-based learning
📌 Conducting two-shift classes to reach more learners
📌 Curriculum designed to meet the practical needs of learners’ daily lives

 

 

Through this initiative, the literacy rate in Gangni Upazila has seen a significant rise, contributing positively to the overall quality of life and empowerment of the local population.
