Event Overview

On June 2, 2024, a vital community support event was held at Nagdah Union Parishad, Alamdanga Upazila. The event was part of the VGD (Vulnerable Group Development) initiative and was organized by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha in collaboration with the Department of Women Affairs, under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

Income-Generating Training for Women

The event focused on income-generating training programs aimed at improving the livelihoods of women under the VGD program. The goal of these sessions was to equip women with skills and knowledge that would help them earn an income and become self-reliant in the long run.

Rice Distribution for Immediate Support

Alongside the training, rice was distributed to the VGD beneficiaries to ensure food security. This dual approach—offering both skill development and nutritional support—ensures that the immediate and long-term needs of the community are both addressed.

Commitment to Uplifting Communities

This event reflects Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha’s continued dedication to community development and women empowerment. By working closely with government agencies, the organization strives to improve the socio-economic conditions of rural women and marginalized communities across the region.
