🌾 Program Overview

On June 4, 2024, a significant event aimed at empowering vulnerable women was successfully held at Vangbari Union Parishad under Alamdanga Upazila. The event was organized by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha in cooperation with the Department of Women Affairs under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

This program was part of the VWB (Vulnerable Women Benefit) initiative designed to enhance the economic and nutritional well-being of disadvantaged women.


🔍 Objectives

  • Income Generation Training: Women received hands-on training to build skills that can help them earn independently.

  • Food Distribution: As part of the support package, rice was distributed to beneficiaries to aid their families’ food security.

  • Women Empowerment: Strengthening the financial and social position of women in rural communities.

The event created opportunities for women who are often overlooked and under-supported. With the combination of practical training and immediate food aid, the program made a tangible impact on both livelihood and dignity.
