Empowering Women Through Training and Rice Distribution at Khadimpur Union

Overview

On 3rd June 2024, an impactful program was held at Khadimpur Union Parishad in Alamdanga Upazila. This initiative was conducted by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha with the support of the Department of Women Affairs under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, as part of the VGD (Vulnerable Group Development) program.


Objectives of the Program

The event focused on two major components:

  1. Income-Generating Training:
    Women beneficiaries of the VGD program were provided with practical training to develop skills that can help them earn a sustainable income and contribute to their family finances.

  2. Nutritional Support through Rice Distribution:
    Alongside the training, rice was distributed among the beneficiaries to ensure food security and meet their basic nutritional needs.

 


Impact

The dual approach of skill development and food support reflects a holistic vision to empower underprivileged women. Through such programs, Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha continues to uplift rural women and contribute to building a more self-reliant community.
