Human Chain Campaign for Pictorial Health Warnings on All Tobacco Product Packaging

Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, in collaboration with the Bangladesh Anti-Tobacco Alliance, organized a peaceful human chain campaign under the slogan:


“We Demand Pictorial Health Warnings on All Tobacco Product Packaging.”

🎯 Objectives of the Campaign:

 

✅ Raise public awareness through pictorial health warnings on tobacco packaging
✅ Inform the general public about the harmful effects of tobacco
✅ Build strong social resistance against tobacco use

 

 

📍 Campaign Details:

 

  • Location: Meherpur Sadar Upazila
  • Activities Included:
    • Human Chain: Citizens from all walks of life joined hands in a peaceful demonstration
    • Health Warning Displays: Placards with slogans and images highlighting the dangers of tobacco use were showcased
    • Participants: Teachers, health workers, concerned citizens, and members of the local community
