On June 6, 2024, a significant event was held at the Saharbari Union Parishad in Gangni Upazila, aimed at empowering VWB (Vulnerable Women Benefit) beneficiaries. The program featured income-generating training sessions as well as rice distribution, conducted as part of a broader initiative to uplift underprivileged women in rural communities.

This event was organized by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, with the full support of the Department of Women Affairs, operating under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.

The training session provided practical knowledge and skills to help VWB beneficiaries develop sustainable income sources. These activities are part of a long-term goal to enhance self-reliance among rural women and reduce economic vulnerability.

In the same event, rice was distributed to the beneficiaries as immediate support to ease their day-to-day living challenges.
