Meherpur Observes World Environment Day 2025 with Rally and Discussion Meeting

On the occasion of World Environment Day 2025, the District Administration and the Department of Environment, Meherpur jointly organized a rally and discussion meeting to raise awareness about environmental protection and pollution control.

This year’s theme was:

“Beat Plastic Pollution — It’s Time to End It!”

Participants from various government departments, educational institutions, NGOs, and civil society organizations joined the event to emphasize the urgent need to reduce plastic waste, promote recycling, and protect natural ecosystems.

Speakers at the discussion highlighted the environmental and health hazards of plastic pollution and called for stronger community engagement and policy enforcement to ensure a cleaner, greener, and sustainable environment.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to minimize plastic use and encourage eco-friendly practices in everyday life.
