National No Tobacco Day 2022 Observed in Meherpur

Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha leads awareness initiative with national partners

On October 9, 2022Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha organized a special observance of National No Tobacco Day 2022 in Meherpur. The event was held in collaboration with the Bangladesh Anti-Tobacco Alliance and Work for a Better Bangladesh (WBB Trust), as part of a united effort to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco use.

🚭 Event Highlight:

 

A peaceful awareness sit-in program was conducted, aiming to:

  •  Advocate for a tobacco-free environment
  • Educate the public about the health hazards of tobacco
  • Encourage policy reform and enforcement of tobacco control laws

🗣️ Voices for a Healthier Future:

 

Participants, including youth, health activists, and community members, gathered to express solidarity for a healthier, tobacco-free society. Placards and banners with messages such as “Say No to Tobacco” and “Healthy Life, Tobacco-Free Life” were displayed during the demonstration.

Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha reaffirmed its commitment to working with partners nationwide to eliminate tobacco from everyday life and protect public health—especially that of future generations.
