Nutrition and Child Marriage Prevention Program Held at Ashrayan Project

Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, in collaboration with local authorities, organized a Nutrition and Child Marriage Prevention Program at the Raghunathpur Ashrayan Project in Amjhupi Union. The primary goal of the initiative was to ensure child nutrition and raise awareness among the local community about the harmful effects of child marriage.

Key Activities of the Program:

✅ Discussion on Nutrition:
Experts highlighted the importance of proper nutrition, the need for a balanced diet, and the critical role of nutritious food in the healthy development of children. Parents were educated on how to prepare nutritious meals using locally available food items.

✅ Distribution of Nutritious Food for Children:
To ensure better nutrition, children were provided with milk, fruits, eggs, and other nutritious items aimed at improving their overall health.

✅ Awareness Session on Child Marriage Prevention:
Speakers addressed the harmful impacts of child marriage, relevant laws, and the importance of girls’ education. In the presence of community leaders, teachers, and guardians, a collective pledge was made to take preventive measures against child marriage.

Through this program, the local community became more aware of the importance of child nutrition and the dangers of child marriage—marking a step forward toward building a healthier and safer society.
