Observing NGO Foundation Day 2014 in Meherpur – A Celebration of Collaboration and Community Commitment

In celebration of Bangladesh NGO Foundation Day 2014, a vibrant rally and insightful discussion meeting were organized in Meherpur to raise awareness about the role of NGOs in sustainable development and social transformation. The event brought together government officials, civil society members, NGO representatives, and local citizens in a collective effort to recognize and enhance the impact of grassroots development initiatives.

 

🚶‍♂️ Rally for Awareness and Solidarity

A colorful rally paraded through the streets of Meherpur, featuring banners, placards, and participants wearing caps marked with the NGO Foundation Day slogan. The rally was jointly organized by:

  • District Administration and NGO Affairs Bureau
  • Supported by partner NGOs: DOEL, KPUS, MUK, PJUS, PSKS, Shahid Sheba Sangstha, Shandhani Shangstha, SPD, Su-Shanta, SUBAH, and others.

The vibrant participation of men, women, and youth symbolized the inclusive spirit of NGO-led development in Bangladesh.

🗣️ Discussion Meeting with Stakeholders

 

Following the rally, a discussion meeting was held at the District Administration Conference Room. The event was graced by:

  • Chief Guest: Md. Mahmud Hossain, Deputy Commissioner, Meherpur.

Discussions centered around the importance of NGO-government partnerships, the contribution of NGOs to community empowerment, and the need for sustained collaboration to address challenges in health, education, livelihoods, and environmental protection.
