Rally and Discussion Meeting Held in Meherpur on the Occasion of International Workers’ Day 2025

On the occasion of International Workers’ Day 2025 (World Labour Day), a rally and discussion meeting were held in Meherpur under the chairmanship of Ms. Sifat Mehnaz, Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate of Meherpur.

The event, held at the Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, emphasized the rights, dignity, and safety of workers, along with the importance of eliminating child labour from society.

In her address, Deputy Commissioner Ms. Sifat Mehnaz urged all stakeholders — including government departments, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector — to work together to eradicate child labour and ensure a safe and just environment for every worker.

The discussion also highlighted the significance of fair wages, decent working conditions, and social justice, reaffirming Meherpur’s commitment to upholding the true spirit of International Workers’ Day.
