Savings Refund Distribution Ceremony for VWB Beneficiaries of the 2023–2024 Cycle Held at Raypur Union Parishad

The Savings Refund Distribution Ceremony for Vulnerable Women Beneficiaries (VWB) under the 2023–2024 cycle was successfully held at the Raypur Union Parishad.

The event was organized by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, with the support of the Upazila Administration and the Upazila Department of Women Affairs, Gangni.

The program was presided over by Mr. Sargidul Islam, Panel Chairman of Raypur Union Parishad, while Ms. Salma Akter, Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, attended as the Chief Guest.

Also present at the event were the Deputy Director of the Department of Women Affairs, Meherpur, the Upazila Women Affairs Officer, Gangni, administrative officials of Raypur Union Parishad, bank officers, Mr. Moin-Ul-Alam, Executive Director of Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, and NGO representatives Ms. Farida Parvin and Ms. Shefali Khatun.

During the ceremony, Ms. Salma Akter, the Chief Guest, delivered an inspiring speech to the VWB beneficiaries, encouraging them to use their savings effectively for sustainable livelihood development and to continue their journey toward financial independence.

This event marked the successful completion of the VWB 2023–2024 cycle, reaffirming the joint commitment of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, the Department of Women Affairs, and Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha to the empowerment and economic upliftment of rural women across Meherpur.
