Savings Return Provided to VGD Beneficiaries in Mujibnagar

In a significant step toward financial empowerment, savings accumulated under the 2017–2018 cycle of the Vulnerable Group Development (VGD) program have been returned to beneficiaries. The initiative was organized by Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha in collaboration with the Department of Women Affairs.

👥 Attendees: Local public representatives, officials from the Department of Women Affairs, representatives from Subah Samajik Unnayan Sangstha, and VGD beneficiaries.

Objectives of the VGD Program:

 

✅ Ensure food and economic security for poor and vulnerable women
✅ Promote self-reliance through savings and capacity-buildin

✅ Encourage small-scale entrepreneurship or income-generating activities using returned savings

 

 

Significance of the Savings Return:

 

The return of saved funds marks a crucial milestone in the journey of VGD beneficiaries toward self-sufficiency. The women can now utilize these funds to start small businesses, support family needs, or invest in further income-generating endeavors.

 

 

This initiative not only reflects the success of the VGD program but also strengthens community resilience by empowering women to take control of their financial future.
