Workshop Held in Meherpur to Enhance Public Awareness on Village Courts

Meherpur, 09 December 2025:
A workshop titled “Developing Participatory Plans Involving Local Government and Non-Government Organizations to Enhance Public Awareness on Village Courts” was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, organized by the District Administration, Meherpur.

The workshop was presided over by Partha Pratim Shil, Deputy Director (Acting), Local Government, Meherpur.
Dr. Syed Enamul Kabir, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur, was present as the chief guest.

During the workshop, discussions were held on the role of village courts, their importance in ensuring local justice, and effective strategies to increase public awareness. Participants also explored ways to strengthen collaboration between local government bodies and non-government organizations to promote efficient and community-centered dispute resolution.
